Keep in mind this is not a light sword, and is sharp from hilt to tip; do not get this as a beginner blade; start with the light unsharpened version or wooden sword first; they are cheaper and you will not risk injuring yourself or anyone else that way.

Excellent sword for the price. When I received it yesterday, it was somewhat sharp, but I used my sharpening stone and it now has a wicked edge…. The sword has weight and it can be somewhat unwieldy, but one can get used to it quickly. THIS SWORD IS NOT FOR CHILDREN!!!! It is more than a cosplay piece. It is a weapon.
